Works like a charm! Thank you both so much!
[email protected]MemberThanks Tony - I'll give it a whirl.
BTW, I learned that if you copy the css bits from the plugin stlesheet to the child theme stylesheet and add "body" in front of the selectors, you don't need to use !important, and you don't have to worry about overwriting when you update the plugin...so far, it's worked for me.
Will let you know how this goes.
You are the best!

[email protected]MemberThanks for looking at the site. I did look at at least half a zillion sliders, but finally found that the genesis slider seemed the most flexible. (As it is, I did some stupid crazy things to match the design...) But I'll look at Soliloquy.
You are totally right about the design - and apparently this designer is being quite inflexible. (I could use a lot of other words for him, but delicacy prevents me.) My boss keeps promising her clients that I can match these idiotic designs faithfully, and I have to keep telling her that it's a flagrant abuse of the beauty of wordpress and best practices...
If it becomes an issue, can I contact you to maybe negotiate a price to look at the code?
Thanks!!
-Allison[email protected]MemberHey Dev,
Thanks for your response...I guess I figured that everyone knows the genesis slider so well that they'd know what I meant...
Anyway, the development site is at :http://coral.org/wordpress/
The designer called for numerals at the top of the slides (to the right of "Top Stories") instead of the navigation discs, so I'm trying to figure out how to change them. I'm a little hesitant to delve into the guts of the plugin, but I think I may need to do something there to display the numbers. I was hoping it was just a css thing.
Thanks!
