October 23, 2014 at 12:46 pm in reply to: How to move menu under header image with Going Green Child Theme #128874kradkeMember
I added that in the child theme style and the menu still drops down behind when the screen in smaller than 800 some pixels wide.
kradkeMemberI did and it does not show up on my iPhone. It looks like it is down below the container, behind slideshow.
kradkeMemberSo I did that and the search form now shows on the mobile device, but the menu still does not show up.
kradkeMemberIs there anyone who could possibly look at this for me? thank you
kradkeMemberYou said here that you moved your menu below the header with the Going Green Pro theme. I did the same and the menu now does not show up on mobile devices. Did you have this issue?
October 21, 2014 at 2:40 pm in reply to: How to move menu under header image with Going Green Child Theme #128683kradkeMemberSo I had the menu moved where I wanted it and now it is not showing up on mobile devices. It looks great on a computer screen. Would someone mind taking a look? http://www.krcreativetesting.com
October 1, 2014 at 9:42 pm in reply to: How to make green footer shorter Going Green Pro Theme #126504kradkeMemberGoing Green is a great theme. I am finished with the site. It is only in main thence mode until we switch to a new host & launch. I have been very pleased with it & was able to customize to my liking.
kradkeMemberPhew! I got it back now. I think this will work for the slider. I see the widget area now also. I will mark it resolved once I get that rolling. Thank you so much for your help.
kradkeMemberSo I copied that and put in new functions.php file. I will upload it to my website via ftp. Is that correct?
kradkeMemberHere it is with the code that you told me to add:
It looks like line 134 is }
kradkeMemberI added this into functions.php
//* Register widget areas
genesis_register_sidebar( array(
'id' => 'after-header',
'name' => __( 'After Header', 'genesis' ),
'description' => __( 'This section will appear at bottom of the navigation bar.', 'genesis' ),
) );add_action('genesis_after_header', 'after_header_widget', 35);
function after_header_widget(){
genesis_widget_area( 'after-header', array(
'before' => '<div class="after-header widget-area"><div class="wrap">',
'after' => '</div></div>',
) );
}
- See more at: http://pwdtechnology.com/add-horizontal-scrolling-announcement-header-after-header-widget/#sthash.b1248LXO.dpufThen when I update I get the following error:
Parse error: syntax error, unexpected 'more' (T_STRING) in /home/krcreat1/public_html/krcreativetesting/wp-content/themes/going-green-pro/functions.php on line 134
So I went back and deleted what I had added and updated and it gave the same error???
kradkeMemberThank you, thank you, thank you! That worked. 🙂
kradkeMemberI have just changed the values that you suggested and it is still covering my header image. Do I need to change the functions.php somehow? (here)
//* Add support for custom header
add_theme_support( 'custom-header', array(
'width' => 769,
'height' => 100,
'header_image' => '',
'header-selector' => '.site-header .title-area',
'header-text' => false
) );thanks
kradkeMemberWhat is the max width for the header so the search can fit next to it? I will also try what you suggested. thank you
August 11, 2014 at 2:29 pm in reply to: How to move menu under header image with Going Green Child Theme #118279kradkeMemberThank you! That helped tremendously. I just changed one of the values a bit and got the menu where I wanted it to be positioned.

I put this style in and it didn't help.
.nav-primary {
margin-top: 63px;
}August 11, 2014 at 1:24 pm in reply to: How to move menu under header image with Going Green Child Theme #118264kradkeMemberModify the CSS as in margins? thanks
August 11, 2014 at 1:06 pm in reply to: How to move menu under header image with Going Green Child Theme #118256kradkeMemberI read the article and removed this from functions.php
//* Reposition the navigation
remove_action( 'genesis_after_header', 'genesis_do_nav' );
remove_action( 'genesis_after_header', 'genesis_do_subnav' );
add_action( 'genesis_before_header', 'genesis_do_nav' );
add_action( 'genesis_before_header', 'genesis_do_subnav' );That moved the menu down below behind the content container, not below the header and above the container like I was trying to do. Should I have added a different function in it's place?
Thank You,
KatieJuly 23, 2014 at 2:08 pm in reply to: Magazine Pro Theme and Horizontal Scrolling Announcement WordPress Plug-In #115571kradkeMemberI am trying to add the horizontal scrolling plugin as well. I am using the Going Green Theme and I added the new widget in functions php. I got a new widget called "Homepage Feature" and I tried to put it there. Nothing shows up. Did you get it to work ck581 or do you have any suggestions Davinder Singh Kainth? The URL is http://www.krcreativetesting.com
I want a news scroll to run below the menu and above the header.
Thank You
