PainterMommyMember
Oh geez. Sorry about that. OK, I did that and things are a bit off. Can you check it out for me? http://singletosmitten.com/blog/
PainterMommyMemberThe blog is not set as the homepage though. Does that make a difference?
PainterMommyMemberOK, I updated the code to include the html, but it still isn't working. Here is the code:
/** Add image before blog page */ function image_before_blog() { if(is_page(blog) ) echo '<div class="custom-image"><img src="http://singletosmitten.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/09/Marabeth-Banner-Blog_small.jpg"/></div>'; }; add_action('genesis_before_loop', 'image_before_blog');
This is the page that I need the image to show up on: http://singletosmitten.com/blog/
PainterMommyMemberYes, that is what I did.
PainterMommyMemberOh my goodness! How cool! That totally worked! Thankyou!
PainterMommyMemberYes, here is the code I added:
/** Add image before blog page */
function image_before_blog() {
if(is_page(blog) )
echo '<div class="custom-image">http://singletosmitten.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/09/Marabeth-Banner-Blog_small.jpg</div>';
};
add_action('genesis_before_loop', 'image_before_blog');PainterMommyMemberNo, actually I have not resolved it. I want for there to be MORE spacing between the wording of the pages in the navigation bar and LESS spacing between the social icon buttons in the navigation. Right now everything is evenly spaced and I don't want it like that.
PainterMommyMemberBecause I already have the images on all the other pages, I went ahead and added the code you provided to the functions.php (for the blog page) and I am still not seeing the image on the blog page. Sigh... Any ideas?
PainterMommyMemberThanks for the help, but that changes the padding between ALL of the items in the navigation. We want space between the page names but less space between the social icons. Does that make sense? Is that possible to do with code?
PainterMommyMemberGot the answer!
The navigation displays AFTER the header on my homepage so the hook is different...
remove_action( 'genesis_after_header', 'genesis_do_nav' );PainterMommyMemberI can't get the navigation to disappear. Help! What do I do?
PainterMommyMemberDuh! How stupid of me. I fixed it and it is showing great now. I am stumped about the navigation showing though. I did not mess with any Genesis settings. I can't leave the navigation there, the client doesn't want that. Is there anyone else that I could ask maybe? What would you suggest?
BTW, thankyou for taking the time to help me. 🙂
PainterMommyMemberOK, I looked it over. Is there anything I am missing in my code? Do you see anything that is wrong that would be causing the nav bar to show?
PainterMommyMemberI had the header image url in the wrong place in the stylesheet. 🙂
PainterMommyMemberI GOT IT!!! Thanks
PainterMommyMemberIt worked! It worked! Thankyou so much!
PainterMommyMemberOK, so I added this to the functions.php and it broke the site:
/** Add Wide Optin above Footer Widgets*/
add_action('genesis_before_footer', 'add_div', 5 );
function add_div() {
<div style="height: 120px; background:url(http://www.soulfitwomen.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/02/wide_optin_back_small.png) no-repeat center top;">
<form action="https://app.getresponse.com/add_contact_webform.html"
method="post">
<table style="margin-left:450px;" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" border="0"><tr>
<td align="top" style="padding-right:10px;"><input type="text" value="Name" name="name"></td>
<td align="top" style="padding-right:10px;"><input type="text" value="Email" name="email"></td>
<td align="top"><input type="image" src="http://www.soulfitwomen.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/02/submit_circle_small.png" background="none" WIDTH="101" HEIGHT="100" border="0"
name="submit"></td>
</tr></table>
<input type="hidden" name="webform_id" value="340984">
</form>
</div>
<script type="text/javascript" src="http://app.getresponse.com/view_webform.js?wid=340984&mg_param1=1"></script>
}I fixed via FTP, but I am thinking my code is not correct?
PainterMommyMemberCan you tell me the specific code I should add? I am still a novice when it comes to this stuff. I appreciate it so much.
PainterMommyMemberI appreciate you getting back to me. The only one I see is "
genesis_after_content_sidebar_wrap
" and that one doesn't do it. It then gets pushed up behind the video.This is the code I am working with:
<br>
<div style="height: 120px; background:url(http://www.soulfitwomen.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/02/wide_optin_back_small.png) no-repeat center top;">
<form action="https://app.getresponse.com/add_contact_webform.html"
method="post">
<table style="margin-left:450px;" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" border="0"><tr>
<td align="top" style="padding-right:10px;"><input type="text" value="Name" name="name"></td>
<td align="top" style="padding-right:10px;"><input type="text" value="Email" name="email"></td>
<td align="top"><input type="image" src="http://www.soulfitwomen.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/02/submit_circle_small.png" background="none" WIDTH="101" HEIGHT="100" border="0"
name="submit"></td>
</tr></table>
<input type="hidden" name="webform_id" value="340984">
</form>
</div>
<script type="text/javascript" src="http://app.getresponse.com/view_webform.js?wid=340984&mg_param1=1"></script>PainterMommyMemberThankyou! I was able to update the .htaccess file and the site is now working. 🙂
