I used firebug to find the code on http://msqrealty.com/
I like the permanent placement of the image over the slider. Not the search, the image WASHINGTONS #1 BROKERAGE. This is the code...
.homebar {background: url("http://msqrealty.com/images/homebar.png") no-repeat scroll left bottom transparent;
height: 81px;
left: -1px;
position: relative;
top: -93px;
width: 469px;Thanks for your patience
redondorealtorMemberI inserted the PHP code on the home PHP emplate from your code note from gihub. Inserted the HTML as above and inserted the correct image language. The site crashed, obviously I am putting it in the wrong place?
"After Nav Menu" , on the style sheet? Or the Home PHP template?
Sorry, Roger
redondorealtorMembersorry..... http://www.253living.com it's live, still a work in progress. I test on the test site then move the code to the live site.
I want to put a permanent image on top of the slider..... Call it a banner advertising me.... I would remove text that is attached to the slider.
I'm OK with the CSS part of it and where to add it, not sure how to code the PHP and how to work with "hooks"
Thanks, Roger
redondorealtorMemberIn mailchimp you do the following;
1. Create an RSS campaign that feeds from your blog. When you are setting up the Campaign you will pick the list you are using. You also pick the days, time that you want the email to be sent. You can choose to send an email to your list every other week, or each time you post to the blog.
2. Design the template for the Campaign (you can pick one of their custom HTML emails and modify with your logo/header) that matches your website. Save the template, and use it when you setup the Campaing above.
You will have created a drip email campaign, that emails your posts to your selected list.
It's pretty easy once you get the hang of it. You may need Adobe elements, or a simple image creation program to create your logo. I use Elements all the time. $79 online.
Good luck!
redondorealtorMemberWhoops, thank you..... I changed the slug and hit view page and it didn't change....this time I updated the page and it worked!! Thankyou, any advice on the home page issue. I had to do a complete re-install, and something has messed up the home page?
redondorealtorMemberAnswered my question about upgrades, if I want to upgrade the child theme "Agent Press" that i have setup and customized on a test site how would i go about uploading it to the live site? Can I just copy the style sheet css to the live site?
If I understood this correctly, when I upgrade to 1.91 Genesis it only upgrades those files, and any custom changes made to those files would be gone.
Am I correct?
Roger
redondorealtorMemberI found the code in the snippet section, worked perfectly...
redondorealtorMemberTry Zillow, they provide WordPress plugins "local market explorer", and they also provide a mortgage calculator... Good luck.
redondorealtorMemberThe 2 best choices for me would be idxpress from Diverse, or mlsfinder.com both have wp plugins available.
redondorealtorMemberWhat slider plugin do most use for the Agentpress site? I made the mistake of uploading the sample info to the agentpress theme, and can't seem to get the home page layout back? What am I missing?
Thanks, Roger
