Simple Social Icons 2.0

Brian Gardner on December 1, 2016

Simple Social Icons is one of the most popular plugins we have built at StudioPress, and it’s currently active on more than 200,000 websites. With this plugin, you can easily choose which profiles to link to, customize the color and size of your icons, as well as align them to the left, center, or right—all from the widget form, with no settings page necessary.

Important Announcement for Genesis Plugin Developers

Nathan Rice on March 2, 2016

This coming Monday, March 7th, we’ll be releasing Genesis 2.2.7 to fix some issues with WordPress compatibility, as well as fix an issue with term meta performance.

UPDATE: To give developers more time to prepare their plugins and sites, we will NOT be introducing the breaking change, outlined below, in Genesis 2.2.7. Instead, we will push it to Genesis 2.3.0. Genesis 2.2.7 will still release on Monday, March 7th, to address other bugs.

If you have built a plugin that relies on the Genesis term meta system in order to function, it’s incredibly important that you prepare your plugin for Genesis 2.2.7 2.3.0. If your plugin relies on Genesis to store and serve term meta, you will very likely receive messages from your users saying that it’s no longer working.

Brian Gardner on May 6, 2013

It’s been a few months since we’ve released a new StudioPress theme, and there’s a good reason for that … our development team is hard at work putting the finishing touches on Genesis 2.0.

If you want to see what the new default looks like, you can check it out on the Genesis demo site. We’re hoping to release the beta version within the next week or two, and then release it shortly after WordPress 3.6 drops.

Genesis 2.0 isn’t the only reason we’re happy around here at StudioPress.

Introducing the eNews Extended Plugin for Your Genesis-Powered Website

Brian Gardner on October 11, 2012

Genesis eNews Extended Plugin

With the recent announcement that Google is shutting down Feedburner’s API, we decided to get a jump start on possible replacements for the eNews and Updates widget that is currently inside of Genesis.

While the API shut down won’t affect the functionality of the widget, we will be softly deprecating it in Genesis 1.9 and removing it entirely in 2.0.
